PERMANENT MAKEUP PREPARATION
Thank you for choosing Advanced Ink for your Permanent Makeup (PMU) experience. Please read the following instructions to ensure the best results for your treatment.
The following restrictions are to ensure your skin is in the best possible condition for an amazing Permanent Makeup procedure. Please read carefully!
ㆍDo NOT drink / consume energy drinks, coffee or anything with caffeine for 24 hours prior to your appointment. I don't want you moving all over during the procedure, plus it increases the likeliness of you bleeding during the procedure, which can negatively impact your pigment retention.
ㆍDo NOT drink alcohol 24 hours before the procedure. Yep, that's a blood thinner too!
ㆍDo NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, vitamins A, E, B6, Niacin, Fish oil, Omega 3, Gingko Biloba, St. John's Wort or Evening Primrose oil, unless medically necessary, 48-72 hours prior to the procedure. These supplements thin your blood, and increase the likeliness of bleeding during the procedure. Refrain from alcohol, aspirin, Ibuprofen (Advil) and Alieve for 24 hours prior to your appointment. The only product for aches and pain that can be used and will not make you bleed is Tylenol or Acetaminophen.
NOTE: All of the above vitamins, supplements and medication may make you bleed excessively which during the procedure will negatively affect the longevity of your PMU and in some cases, may need to be prematurely stopped.
Discontinue Vitamin A, Retinol, Glycolic Acid and perscription Retin-A products for a minimum of 3 weeks prior to procedure.
ㆍPlease do not work out the day of the procedure, as the body heat will expand the pores.
ㆍAvoid heavy / direct sunlight.
ㆍNo Botox Treatments should be done 3 weeks prior, or for 4 weeks after your PMU procedure, please schedule accordingly to avoid complications!
ㆍNo Accutane Treatments within the past 12 months. This is essential, please schedule accordingly.
ㆍDo not tan 2 weeks prior to your procedure.
ㆍDo not tint your eyebrows for a minimum of 7 days prior to your procedure
ㆍAny brow shaping including waxing, tweezing or threading should be completed a minimum of 2 days prior to your procedure.
Feel free to come to your appointment with your brow makeup on as this allows me to see what your use to. This is important if you have specific ideas on your brow shape. If open to suggestions I’m happy to provide options that will personally suit you
If you have any questions about these restrictions, please contact me by CALL 206.400.8114, and I'll be happy to clarify as needed!

EYEBROWS AFTERCARE
*Although rare, PLEASE consult a healthcare professional at the first sign of any potential infection*
HEALING STAGES

(Please tap the " + " icon to read more)
1. *Immediately After Treatment*:
The pigment is clearly visible, not yet covered by the top layer of skin. The color appears vibrant, and the lymphatic fluid is absorbed.
2. *First Three Days*:
The pigment stands out more, and the shape of the eyebrows appears slightly thicker with a richer color. Lymphatic secretion stops, and the skin starts to dry on the surface.
3. *Days 4-6*:
Eyebrows become softer and may feel a little itchy but are not sensitive to touch. The pigment begins to peel off gradually. It's important not to pick at or remove scabs forcibly.
4. *Days 7-10*:
Larger scabs may form where more lymphatic fluid has dried, while the rest peels off gently. Parts of the brows that come off may feel dry, and the tattooed areas may seem almost invisible as the pigment absorbs into deeper skin layers.

Remember, patience and proper aftercare are key to achieving the best results during the healing process!
Please read the following instructions to ensure the best results for your treatment.
If your lips are dry, I cannot perform the procedure. A reschedule will be necessary if your lips are dry, and your deposit will be forfeited. It is best to exfoliate your lips at least 5 days before your appointment to remove any dry skin. Purchase a lip scrub or make your own by mixing coconut oil and brown sugar. The week before your appointment, moisturize your lips as much as possible to keep them in good condition.
*IMPORTANT*
While permanent makeup is very safe, lip blush is associated with a very high risk of cold sores. I strongly recommend that if you have ever had a cold sore, consult your doctor about anti-viral medication before any lip procedure in order to prevent an outbreak or get Cold Sore Treatment online at https://www.goodrx.com/ . When you’ve never had a cold sore but are concerned about getting one, you can take L-lysine, an over-the-counter vitamin, two weeks before and after your appointment.

Redness, swelling, tenderness, and dryness are the most common side effects following treatment. It is common to experience redness, swelling, tenderness, and dryness after treatment. However, these symptoms will disperse in a short period. Your lips may become flaky during the healing process. The flaking is normal and expected. Please do not pick or scratch them. Scratching or picking may result in a significant reduction in pigment absorption. To ensure best healing results and color retention for your lips, please read and follow the instructions below for two weeks. Results may vary from person to person and are not guaranteed.
